If you are looking to improve your knowledge of import or export regulations, network with trade compliance professionals and learn what local companies are doing in the area of international trade compliance, then the Roundtable of Trade Compliance Practitioners may be the group for you.

We are Licensed Customs Brokers, Certified Import and Export Specialists, trade attorneys, employees of importers/exporters and service firms, and faculty at universities in the Kansas City metropolitan area who are involved in import and export regulatory issues. Our focus is to educate the community and provide a network of compliance professionals to collaborate on current hot topics in the trade compliance arena.

We are open to individuals who are currently working in companies that import and/or export, provide import and/or export compliance services, or are studying or teaching in the area of international trade compliance.

The focus of the first Roundtable will be on China's Section 301 Duty Exclusions and Potential Refunds. Brian Murphy who is a Partner at Miller & Company P.C. and an ITC Board Member will give a brief overview, and then participants will discuss issues and questions related to the exclusions. This is a great opportunity to benchmark industry, network with professionals in your area. We encourage all participants to engage in the conversation.

Brian Murphy is a Partner with Miller & Company P.C. and a member of the ITC Board of Directors. He has a J.D. from Santa Clara University and is a speaker and author on international legal topics, with presentations made at conferences around the world including Taipei, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Meeting topics are driven by the members and focus on current topics that are important to the group. Future meetings will be in person as local regulations are relaxed on meetings.

The link to join the virtual event will be emailed to participants the day prior to the event. This event will NOT be recorded.
